All Pickleballs
Pickleball started off as a fun social game now has become fast-paced competitive sports with experienced players competing in worldwide professional tournaments. Often described as the combination of tennis, badminton and table tennis, the game is now played all around the world with the help of tons of different pickleball equipments.
The game originated in Washington back in 1965 by three dads, Joel Pitchard, Barney McCallum and Bill Bell. They made this as a backyard family game for their kids that eventually became popular in the United States and Canada. Later on, a dedicated organisation known as USA Pickleball Association (USAPA) was shaped that currently has more than 45 international associations. In 2002, Pickleball also gained fame through representation in the Special Olympics, Spain.
Pickleball is played amongst two or four players on hard courts with pickleball equipments. The goal is to use pickleball paddles to hit and keep the pickleball balls above the net. With the increasing demand of the game, brands have responded well by introducing different types of high quality pickleball equipments.
Pickleball Equipments
1. Pickleball paddles
Pickleball paddles are made of composite or wooden materials. They resemble an oversized ping-pong paddle and are usually 8-15 inches long. Some pickleball paddles are lightweight, some offer extra spin and some are made of power hitting players. Each player has a specific play style. Those who rely on spin would prefer spin oriented pickleball paddles.
2. Pickleball Shoes
There are different pickleball shoes made specifically for this game. Having a good quality shoe is necessary for the game since players have to run around on hard courts. Pickleball shoes are available separately as shoes for men and pickleball shoes for women. Without a good shoe, players can often begin to experience foot and knee pains that can affect the game in the longer run.
3. Pickleball Balls
Pickleball balls are made with perforated polymer. Their colours are somewhat similar to that of a tennis ball and have around 26 to 40 round holes. Pickleball balls are cheaper than tennis balls and can be easily stored in pickleball bags.
4. Pickleball Bags
Pickleball bags are a luxury for all types of players whether beginners or pros. There is a huge variety available in the market with different types like backpacks, duffel bags, tote bags etc. Pickleball bags can easily store all the pickleball equipments like pickleball paddles, balls and shoes etc. making them safe and easy to carry around.
5. Pickleball clothes
Various brands have introduced a dedicated clothing line for pickleball. Pickleball clothes include skirts and tank tops for women, shorts and shirts for men. These clothes add grace and style to the game making pickleball a complete sport to compete in.
